What is in a Name?
At the general meeting held on Thursday July 30 2009, it was agreed by a unanimous vote
to replace Soccer with Football in our clubs name.
So we are now named Wollemi Football Club, or Wollemi FC for short.
Why Change it?
We have done this to follow the direction given by the FFA (Football Federation Australia) and
Football NSW in giving the sport the name that it is known by in the majority of countries around
the world.
What does this mean for us?
Not much at first, Uniforms will only reflect the new name when it is time to replace the current ones
as a result of wear and tear. We will transition to our new name on all our signage when it is time to
replace it. The committee is committed to not spending our club funds on new naming until we actually
need to replace the old stock.

We also have a new club emblem, here it is.
